Delores, a resident in her 60’s, transferred to Lakewood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center following a hospitalization for cellulitis, difficulty walking, muscle weakness and edema. Prior to her hospitalization, Delores lived with her brother in a single level, 1 step entry home with stairs to the basement, where she did her laundry, ambulated independently and was independent with all Activities of Daily Living. After completing 6 weeks of therapy, Delores made significant progress in all areas and was able to return home to live with her brother and resume all of her previous activities.
